Chrysler has another award winner on its hands with the entry-level minivan, the 2021 Chrysler Voyager.

An affordable option for families, the Chrysler Voyager is the smaller and often overlooked sibling to the award-winning Chrysler Pacifica

Kelley Blue Book (KBB) just awarded the Voyager as the Best Minivan for the 5-Year Cost to Own Award for the second consecutive year.

The Voyager is an exciting entry-level starting minivan with an attainable starting MSRP of $27.235 (plus destination fee). While it does not have all the flashy features that the Pacifica boasts, the Voyager is a great family minivan option that gets the job done when it needs to. The 2021 Voyager does have available options and safety packages that include features such as Automatic Emergency Braking.

Bells and Whistles

As stated earlier, the Voyager does not share the same features as the slightly more pricey Pacifica, but what it lacks in features, it gains in style and performance.

The 2021 Chrysler Voyager takes major styling cues from its older sibling in the form of its modern and sleek body design. Both minivans also share the same powerful and engaging 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the seven-seat minivan also boasts an extensive catalog of features that are sure to please any family, such as  Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, third-row seats with Stow ‘n Go capabilities, and the latest and most up-to-date Uconnect infotainment system.

Optional overhead DVD player, tri-zone manual climate control system, 3.5-inch driver info display, and power driver’s seat are also included

But most impressive and likely most important of all is the safety the vehicle provides drivers and passengers. Each Voyager comes equipped with seven airbags, daytime running lights, and Brake Assist, enough to earn a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Safety options that can also be added include Full-Speed Foward Collision Alert and Pedestrian Detection with Automatic Emergency Braking.

Aesthetically, Chrysler has added an Ocean Blue Metallic paint option and black lower grille for the 2021 model year. The Voyager is available in three different trims ranging with options beginning with the entry-level and modestly equipped L, LX, and LXi trim (reserved for fleet customers).

The fun doesn’t stop there.

This minivan is also ADA accessible thanks to its rear and side-entry conversions that allow easy access to the cabin for wheelchairs and scooters. This feature is also formatted so that the cabin remains fully accessible for all other passengers with ample space.
