First it was Dodge Garage, and now it’s an Amazon storefront.
Dodge fans and drivers have been spoiled for some time when it comes to feeling like you are part of the team. When Dodge Garage opened a few years back, it was described as a platform that “curates content from across the web, in addition to the Dodge brand’s official social channels, to deliver the latest muscle car and racing news to enthusiasts.”
The platform combined the dealership website, news site, and social media platforms into one, allowing consumers to connect like never before. While it started out as a place for enthusiasts to connect, it later blossomed into a hub for giveaways, merch, exclusive media, and the 1320 Club for the Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 1320.
Fast forward to today, and Dodge has joined forces with Amazon to create its own storefront for Dodge enthusiasts.
Dodge is not the first to do this, though. In late 2020, off-road automaker Jeep® also made the move to open its own store space through the retail giant. Jeep’s storefront was catered to make merchandise and accessories available to Jeep lovers. While MOPAR aftermarket upgrades won’t be found by the lots, the store still acts as a place for fans and consumers to purchase from iconic Jeep collections, mobile accessories, apparel, camping gear, and much more.
Now Dodge is following a similar path. Joining many other retailers from around the world, Dodge will have its own “store” within Amazon. The online retailer allows other companies and stores like Dodge to get their own space on the website to sell items.
The muscle car automaker has apparel, gear, featured collections, and much more listed on their store. Sharing many similarities with Jeep. The brand also has also released Dodge//SRT lifestyle brand essentials that would look great in any man cave as well as “Fast & the Furious” inspired toys and video games.
“Opening our Dodge storefront on Amazon offers our enthusiasts a dedicated, branded, consumer experience where they can shop for their favorite gear and merchandise across multiple categories through a familiar and user-friendly online experience,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand and Interim Chrysler Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis. “The Dodge brand featured collections also allow our most devoted fans to shop a range of products to align with a wide range of passions, including Brotherhood of Muscle, ’70s Collection and Vintage Garage.”
If driving the car wasn’t enough, Dodge fans can double down and buy more Dodge brand stuff to show their true allegiance to the brand. The brand is growing bigger than ever, and in case you weren’t aware, Dodge outsold Chevrolet and Ford during the third quarter of 2020 for sports and performance vehicles. Ranked “#1 Brand in Initial Quality,” by J.D. Power during its Initial Quality Study (IQS), and again taking the top spot during the J.D. Power APEAL Study (mass-market vehicles), the automaker has been on a roll and has shocked the industry with many accolades over the past year.
