Ford unveiled the 2024 Ford Ranger pickup, demonstrating that the model is ready for a global journey. The 2024 Ranger is designed to give owners the opportunity to accomplish more of what they love outside, with smart new features that satisfy exacting needs. For 2024, the suspension, connection, sophisticated technology, powertrains, and even the frame have all been updated.
“Ford is the No. 1 selling pickup manufacturer globally and Ranger is the winning choice for midsize truck customers around the world who need a capable, smart, and versatile truck that’s ready to keep up with their adventures. The all-new Ranger has already proven itself on almost every continent in 2022 with segment sales leadership in 18 countries, and all of Europe. Now it’s ready for North America,” said Kumar Galhotra, President of Ford Blue.
With a boxed high-strength steel frame and a wheelbase and track that has been expanded over two inches to improve stability on the trail and provide more bed room, the 2024 Ford Ranger is Built Ford Tough. The 2024 Ranger has more technology than ever before, as well as practical storage solutions and an optional 2,7-liter Ecoboost V6 for consumers seeking more power.
The proven 2.3-liter Ecoboost engine comes standard under the hood, producing 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque–not bad for the midsize segment the Ranger occupies. All Ranger trucks come standard with a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic SelectShift transmission, but Ford also offers an optional electronic-shift-on-the-fly 4×4 system for individuals who require additional off-road prowess and low traction capability from their Ranger.
Ingenious Benefits
Inside the 2024 Ford Ranger, consumers will find more beneficial amenities such as an optional wireless charger, spacious door pockets built for easy access, a wide center console storage bin, and an available top glovebox to hold even more goods. Ford has expanded second-row storage options by including under-seat rear cargo compartments, making it even easy to store items while off the grid. The new fold-flat rear seatbacks on the 2024 Ranger make loading and unloading heavy goods simple. Buyers can also keep tools and other equipment hidden beneath the second-row seats.
The redesigned interior also has better materials, including fit and finish, as well as more useful technologies. Inside the cabin, a standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster is normal, but an optional 12.4-inch cluster takes things to new heights and can be complimented by a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen display or an even larger 12-inch touchscreen display instead. Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system, which puts linked smartphone functionality at the driver’s fingertips, is standard on the 2024 Ford Ranger. Furthermore, the 2024 Ford Ranger includes a standard inbuilt 4G LTE modem and allows owners to use convenience features included in FordPass Connect.
