Florida Panthers announce their regular season schedule for 2022-2023

The Florida Panthers, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, announced their 2022-2023 regular-season schedule.

The Panthers open the season on a three-game road trip, facing the New York Islanders on Thursday, October 13, the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, October 15, and the Boston Bruins on Monday, October 17.

The Cats will then kick up their home schedule for the regular season against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30 P.M. at FLA Live Arena, before playing intrastate rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning, on Friday, October 21, and the Islanders on Sunday, October 23.

“This season Panthers fans can enjoy exciting matchups, a seven-game homestand and key opponents during the holidays. We’re also very excited to welcome the 2023 NHL All-Star Game to South Florida,” said Panthers President & CEO Matt Caldwell. “We are grateful for the support of our fans setting franchise record attendance numbers last season and are looking forward to continuing that into the 2022-23 season.”

Home Games

The home schedule for the Florida Panthers in 2022–2023 features 22 games, including 12 games on Saturday and 10 games on Thursday. The first puck will drop on Thursday at 7 P.M., and Saturday games will depend on the schedule, with the majority of games starting at 6 P.M.

More Hockey

Both a New Year’s Day game at 5 P.M. against the New York Rangers and a post-holiday home game against the Montreal Canadiens are on the schedule for this season.

Champions Fly Down

The 2022 Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche will tap down in Sunrise, Florida, on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 6 P.M. to battle the Cats.

Sunshine State Showdown 

This season, Florida will play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning twice at home (on Oct. 21 and Feb. 6) and twice away from home (Dec. 10 & Feb. 28).

Hot Home Matchups

From March 2 through March 18, the Panthers will host a season-long seven-game homestand that includes games against the New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets, and Nashville Predators.

West Coast Cats

From November 28 through December 6, the Cats will travel to the west coast for their longest road trip of the year, playing games against the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Seattle Kraken, and Winnipeg Jets.

All-Star Weekend 

The Florida Panthers will host the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend which will feature the NHL All-Star Skills on Friday, Feb. 3, and the Honda NHL All-Star Game on Saturday, Feb. 4. There will be entertainment and more for fans to take part in. This event marks the second time the NHL All-Star Game has ever visited South Florida, with the club having previously hosted the event back in 2003.
