Chevy will host an auction for an NFT (non-fungible token) of the all-new 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06. The auction winner will not only receive the NFT, but also a free 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06. This auction takes place at a time when the NFT and cryptocurrency markets are particularly volatile. Despite the current unrest, Chevy sees a chance to enter a lucrative market. Chevrolet may advertise its high-performance Corvette while reaching a new audience by holding an NFT auction. The auction will be called ‘Own the Color’ and will take place between June 20th and June 24, 2022. Bids for the NFT will only be allowed in Ethereum coins. An auction for an NFT of the brand-new 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 will be held by Chevrolet. The ‘Own the Color’ auction, which will take place between June 20 and June 24, 2022, will be called such. Only Ethereum coins will be accepted as bids for the NFT. The fortunate victor will also receive a free 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 in addition to the NFT. Although recent high volatility has hurt NFTs and cryptocurrencies, Chevrolet has a fantastic chance to enter a new market with this auction. Regarding the auction, Chevrolet’s VP of marketing Steve Majoros said, “[The] Own the Color NFT is an important stepping stone for Chevrolet into future digital initiatives for our customers.”
An exclusive Minted Green color will be featured on the Corvette Z06 NFT. The winner will also receive a Minted Green 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 in addition to the NFT. The Z07 performance package and carbon fiber wheels will be included with the Z06. By adding springs and anti-roll bars, the performance package will improve the sports car’s aerodynamics. The Corvette Z06 has a 5.5L 670 horsepower V8 engine that will give it exceptional performance and handling. A signature plaque honoring the auction is also present. Plus, the VIN number will be in binary for an even more futuristic feel.
The NFT auction for Chevrolet will happen on the SuperRare NFT trading platform. Bidders will be able to submit their offers with Ethereum currency, and the auction will take place between June 20 and June 24. However, Chevrolet will not keep any of the money.
