Many don’t know that some of Central Florida’s secrets include hidden bars that may require a password to enter.
The discreetness of today’s speakeasies, which are generally tucked away in restaurants or other public places, is helping them grow in favor.
The nostalgic atmosphere provided by the hidden bars is frequently just what patrons need to enjoy a unique cocktail.
Here are the five hidden establishments.
Vault 5421
The Gods & Monster comic book store in Orlando is where you’d least expect to find this hidden bar.
According to the bar’s website, the hidden sanctuary serves a 100+ bottle selection of craft beer, cider mead, sake, and wine in addition to seasonal rotating selections of themed saketinis, mixed drinks, and shots. The bar’s patrons can also enjoy some of its free classic games.

Suffering Bastard
The Suffering Bastard is a tiki bar that is concealed inside the Tuffy’s Bottle Store in Sanford.
The bar does not accept day-of reservations, so make sure to make one online before you go, or be ready to be put on the waitlist.

Hanson’s Shoe Repair
This rooftop bar is a reincarnation of a historic speakeasy that first opened during the Prohibition Era and pretended to be a shoe repair shop. It is situated on the third floor of the Hanson building in downtown Orlando. You must enter a password, just like in the good old days, and you can find it every day on Hanson’s Twitter page.

Ann Teague’s Lamp Supply
It appears to be a typical lamp and lighting store at first glance. Nevertheless, Ann Teague’s Lamp Supply is actually a cocktail bar, or as they like to say, a “mixology lab.”
As described on its website, this venue “curates a neighborhood feel while retaining the high standards of a true speakeasy establishment back in the 1900s.”
With its distinctive spice pathways and flavors, the bar offers customers an international journey through its elevated and inventive cocktails. Even serving your preferred beverage in a bulb is a possibility.

Taco Kat
There is a secret speakeasy lounge located inside the Taco Kat restaurant in the heart of Orlando. It is concealed, according to Instagram user @orlandotravelfoodies, behind a walk-in freezer called Cool Kats.
