The first-ever Jeep Grand Cherokee to utilize a third row in the back will be the new Grand Cherokee L. The next step for Jeep vehicles is the addition of the 3.0-liter inline-six engine with the name, “Tornado.” A report from the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) states there is a possibility that the powerplant could debut with the two-row Grand Cherokee before ending up as an option for the upcoming 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L three-row SUV.

An Abundance of High-End Jeep SUVs Is On Its Way

Jeep shoppers will have the option to choose from three available off-road systems and adjustable air suspension, all while having the ability to get through up to 24 inches of water. Jeep enthusiasts are even more excited for unmatched cargo room with 84.6 cubic feet behind the first row. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L will tow up to 7,200 pounds for its maximum towing capacity. The entire six-trim range includes manual or automatic as an option. The base “Laredo” trim starts at an affordable price of $36,995 MSRP (plus destination fee), while the “Summit Reserve” higher-end trim was raised to $61,995 MSRP (plus destination fee). For those looking for a tough, powerful Jeep vehicle with all the bells and whistles, there is no greater choice than the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

2022 Jeep Wagoneer Preview

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer is any shopper’s true premium option. With a starting price of $84,995 MSRP (plus destination fee), the Wagoneer offers high-end luxury with features from the Grand Wagoneer top trim, known as the vehicle with Palermo leather seating, massage features, 24-way power front seats, and a premium 19-speaker audio setup. A 10.2-inch front passenger screen with a 23-speaker audio system puts this vehicle ahead of its competition. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer comes with two available V8 engines. More powertrain options will be available for the upcoming model year.

Jeep Lineup Updates

The output delivered by the 5.7-liter V8 engine will most likely be matched for the next powertrain choice. The two-row Jeep Grand Cherokee for the 2022 model year is expected to launch before 2022 arrives. We expect a redesigned front fascia. The Grand Cherokee will have a shorter vehicle length and the pillar and rear glass have changed.

A turbocharged powertrain within the Wrangler 4xe produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Many Jeep enthusiasts are looking for a vehicle that allows them to explore off-road trails. Jeep is launching the new 4xe trim for a bit more than the Wrangler. The Grand Cherokee may be subject to some 4xe trim consideration, but only time will tell. The Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer, and Cherokee L are no less a Jeep vehicle than its Wrangler counterpart.
