On Tuesday, a section of Miami-Dade County was placed under a flood advisory.

The National Weather Service claimed that rain up to two inches deep had fallen during the day. As a result, the flood advisory is in force until six o’clock in the evening.

Miami, Hialeah, Hollywood, Miami Beach, Surfside, Hallandale, Virginia Key, Miami Gardens, North Miami, North Miami Beach, Aventura, Miami Lakes, Sunny Isles Beach, Opa-locka, West Park, Miami Shores, North Bay Village, El Portal, Gladeview, and Westview are among the areas where additional one to two inches of rainfall are anticipated, according to the NWS.

Tuesday afternoon thunderstorms continued to sporadically blow across Pinecrest, resulting in nickel-sized hail falling throughout the neighborhood.

Video captured by a Local 10 viewer shows the hail falling heavily at Centris, a Pinecrest neighborhood close to the 8200 block of Southwest 120th Street.

Since the strong gusts and heavy rain are still present throughout Miami-Dade County, it is urged that drivers stay inside.

According to Peta Sheerwood, a meteorologist with Local 10, the storms should pass around 7 p.m.

The NWS reports that there may be quarter-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
