After damage in the Tampa Bay area, Florida faces a second day of tornado risk.

The Southeast U.S., which is suffering from a severe drought, has benefited from rain brought by a tropical disturbance, but Florida is seeing a second day of increased tornado risk. Regions like Tampa, Orlando, and Gainesville are among those with the highest danger. Any severe thunderstorms that form also carry a risk of damaging wind.

Early on Thursday morning, Clearwater Fire & Rescue in the Tampa Bay area responded to suspected tornado damage to two residences near North Clearwater Beach. There were no injuries recorded in the region.

Central U.S. will experience strong storms

The nation’s heartland is being threatened by severe storms that might bring tornadoes, hail, and devastating winds. A region from Nebraska to Kansas has the highest danger of severe weather. The western regions of Iowa and Missouri are also included.

Hurricane HQ: The active Atlantic is still producing storms

Overnight, Sean fell to a tropical depression, but in the eastern Atlantic, a new disturbance has joined the former tropical storm as part of a developing tropical traffic jam. At this time, neither Sean nor the disturbance, known as Invest 94L, seem to constitute a danger to land.
