According to a recent study, a Florida city offers a variety of leisure activities in a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to retire.

According to U.S. News & World Report, Naples is the top city in the country for retirees to live.

Naples, however, was not the only Sunshine State city to place highly in the rankings. Jacksonville came in at number seven, and Sarasota at number four.

According to U.S. News’ report from November 18, “Florida has long been known as a top destination.” “A lot of people who are getting close to retirement are looking for a place where they can live a better life, ideally one with a warm climate, lots of activities, lots of places to eat and shop, low taxes, and access to good health care.”

According to U.S. News, it examined 150 of the nation’s most populated cities to identify the top retirement destinations. It assigned a score to each location based on information from the federal government and other sources in six areas: employment market, affordability, health care, taxes, happiness, and desirability.

Why is Naples a unique location for retirement?

Tampa is around 165 miles south of Naples, which is on the Gulf Coast. Due to its sunny climate, lower crime rate, and around one-third of its population being 65 and older, the city established itself as a popular retirement destination.

“A SurveyMonkey survey of over 3,500 people found that Naples ranks No. 3 for desirability, which accounts for U.S. residents’ interest in retiring there, as well as entertainment and attraction establishments relative to the population size,” U.S. News reported. “The median home price exceeds $577,000, more than twice the national average home value of $281,000, making it not the most affordable place to live, with a value ranking of 95.”

Being acknowledged is nothing new for Naples, which also had a higher median household income than most cities. According to results, it was awarded the country’s finest place to live by U.S. News earlier this year, primarily because of its job market and popularity.

This time, the city received recognition for its coastal shopping malls, sports complexes, and other leisure venues.

“The combination of luxury and a laid-back lifestyle is what sets Naples apart from other parts of Florida,” Patty Campbell, president of GL Homes’ Florida West Coast Division in Naples, told U.S. News. “The comforts and conveniences of resort-style living can be enjoyed by retirees in a lively community.”

Sarasota and Jacksonville joined Naples on the list, making Florida the only state with three cities in the top 10.

The following other locations were listed as some of the greatest for retirees to call home:

Virginia Beach, Virginia, at No. 2

New York City at No. 3

Boise, Idaho, at No. 5

Raleigh, North Carolina, at No. 6

Huntsville, Alabama, at No. 8

Charlotte, North Carolina, at No. 9

Fort Wayne, Indiana, at No. 10
