The resort unexpectedly revealed at least three significant changes, including the days on which all-day park hopping would resume, “good-to-go days” for owners of annual passes, and certain price increases on annual passes and parking.
“We are constantly adding new, innovative attractions and entertainment to our parks, and with our broad array of pricing options, the value of a theme park visit is reflected in the unique experiences that only Disney can offer,” said a Disney spokesperson.
All-Day Park Hopping Returns
Subject to capacity restrictions, visitors with park hopper benefits or an annual pass will once again be able to visit a different theme park at any time during regular park hours starting of January 9, 2024.
Disney reintroduced park hopper access in 2021, but guests had to wait until 2 p.m. every day to take advantage of the perk. With this modification, visitors with Park Hopper privileges will be able to enjoy various recent additions to the parks without a time limit, including “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana” at EPCOT and “TRON Lightcycle Run” at Magic Kingdom.
On the same day that Disney is reintroducing eating plans, all-day park hopping will be available once more. For guests staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package, dining plans will be reinstated. In order to take advantage of some of Disney’s food and beverages throughout their stay, these plans enable visitors to prepay for meals and snacks before their arrival.
“Good-to-go days” for Annual Passholders and Cast Members
Additionally, “Good-to-go days” will start in January, according to Walt Disney World.
Except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom, yearly passholders and cast members are currently permitted to visit a Walt Disney World theme park after 2 p.m. without a reservation. “Good-to-go days” will let cast members and passholders visit the parks whenever they want without worrying about making a reservation. Once established, Disney stated it would occasionally provide good-to-go days.
There will still be blockout dates.
Price changes
Walt Disney World is also adjusting the pricing for its Annual Passes with new renewal and sales pricing:
- Disney Incredi-Pass: New pass sales $1,449 (plus tax) | Renewal $1,229 (plus tax)
- Disney Sorcerer Pass: New pass sales $999 (plus tax) | Renewal $849 (plus tax)
- Disney Pirate Pass: New pass sales $799 (plus tax) | Renewal $679 (plus tax)
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass: New pass sales $439 (plus tax) | Renewal $369 (plus tax)
The cost of the Annual Pass is not the only item altering. Additionally, the cost of parking will increase for visitors.
The cost of parking at Walt Disney World will rise from $25 to $30. According to Disney, the new parking rates are comparable to those at other theme parks in Central Florida.
