2024 Election: Over 3.3 million ballots have been cast in Florida

Nearly 25 percent of Florida’s registered voters, or over 3.3 million people, have already cast their ballots for the election scheduled for November 5. As of Friday morning, Democrats led mail-in voting and Republicans dominated early voting.

1,521,620 ballots were cast at early voting locations, while 1,811,305 were cast by mail, according to data from the state Division of Elections website. Of the 13,845,913 registered voters, that represents 23.8%.

In total, 1,178,100 Democrats and 1,477,243 Republicans had cast ballots. Additionally, 69,218 third-party voters and 608,364 unaffiliated voters cast ballots.

Most of the state’s early voting locations opened on Monday, and as of Saturday, counties must provide early voting. Vote-by-mail ballot requests had to be submitted by Thursday.

13,845,913 people are registered to vote, including 5,455,480 Republicans, 440,890 Democrats, 3,584,982 unaffiliated people, and 404,890 third-party voters.

  • Miami-Dade: 148,585 total — 69,455 Republicans, 43,696 Democrats, 32,912 unaffiliated, 2,522 third party
  • Monroe: 6,047 total — 3,518 Republicans, 41,442 Democrats, 952 unaffiliated, 135 third party

  • State: 1,811,305 total — 655,797 Republicans, 767,882 Democrats, 350,696 unaffiliated, 36,830 third party  
  • Broward: 145,909 total — 30,621 Republicans, 82,798 Democrats, 29,953 unaffiliated, 2,537 third party  
  • Miami-Dade: 172,037 total — 51,907 Republicans, 74,676 Democrats, 42,571 unaffiliated, 2,883 third party
  • Monroe: 10,116 total — 4,448 Republicans, 3,907 Democrats, 1,569 unaffiliated, 192 third party
