The Ram Truck brand is getting closer to releasing the Ram 1500 Revolution, the automaker’s first battery-electric vehicle, but gas-powered pickup trucks are still far behind the finish line. There will be a lot to look forward to in 2023. Ram’s 1500 Revolution will be unveiled at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in addition to a number of upcoming Marvel films, and we should get a clearer look at Dodge eMuscle and all-electric Jeep SUVs as well. Numerous automakers will hang on to what they can before Stellantis completely transitions to electric vehicles. Ram didn’t create the 1500 TRX to see it go after a few years, so to keep things interesting, the car company revealed the addition of a unique new 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc edition to the lineup.

“The Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition offers another unique way for our passionate customers to separate themselves from the crowd with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability and technology…We’re always exploring new ideas and looking for ways to offer new content as we continue win over more and more buyers.” – Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO – Stellantis

At first glance, the Ram 1500 TRX with the TRX Havoc edition’s exterior painted a distinctive Baja Yellow hue for a bit more customization with graphics and a unique exterior appearance. A deeper look reveals that the performance and technological mix also appears to be improved. Ram is renowned for offering add-on packages and group features, and the TRX Havoc version includes the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group as standard.

In addition to the Baja Yellow paint job, the Havoc edition comes with unique graphics, 18-inch all-black bead lock capable wheels, a dual pane panoramic sunroof, a spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, a bed step, and an LED cab-mounted brake light. A “TRX” logo has been embroidered into the seatbacks, Prowler Yellow accent stitching matches the Baja Yellow paint nicely, the center console and dashboard have carbon fiber accents, a leather and carbon fiber flat-bottom steering wheel, a center console badge, an AC Head-up Display, and TRX in Baja Yellow is displayed on the driver’s screen.

It has the same 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine that powers the Ram TRX, which can produce 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and complete a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. The TRX is ideal for off-roading, rock crawling, and flat-towing thanks to its new BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case, which has a low range of 2.64:1 and a large ground clearance of 11.8 inches.

The new 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc edition has an MSRP that starts at $104,550 (plus destination fee), which is a bit more than the regular 2023 Ram TRX, which has an MSRP that starts at $84,555 (plus destination fee). However, that equipment group adds a lot for the money. Just keep in mind that the 2023 Ram TRX is only offered with a Crew Cab and a 5’7″ truck bed when placing your order.

The TRX Havoc Edition goes on sale early 2023, and the model will have a limited quantity (number undisclosed).
