Dodge unveiled a second Hellcat-powered Durango for 2025, despite the fact that the model was meant to be phased out of the Dodge lineup after the 2023 model year. Driven by the 6.2-liter Hellcat engine, which Dodge has promised to stop producing after 2023, the family-friendly Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead is an exciting vehicle. It’s true that a three-row sport utility vehicle with 710 horsepower and 3.5 seconds to 60 mph is not for the timid.
The brand-new special-edition model continues the Hemi engine’s heritage in the performance cars produced by the manufacturer.
“The new Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead continues the celebration of a potent combination: the legendary HEMI engine and the Dodge brand’s three-row performance SUV.”
–Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO
Will Dodge Produce a Durango in 2025?
The Hemi power plant, which was first introduced in 2004, has been a crucial part of the Durango portfolio. The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet and the Durango R/T 20th Anniversary edition are the most recent unique vehicles. Dealerships are now taking orders for these SUVs, however they are restricted in number.
Consequently, purchasers who are considering a Hammerhead will be thrilled to hear that it is eligible for the Dodge Power Dollars program’s ten dollars per horsepower payment allowance.

The car accelerates to a quarter-mile distance in an astounding 11.5 seconds. In reference to outstanding performance specs, the special edition Durango has a top speed of 180 miles per hour. The well-known engine is mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite 8HP95 automatic transmission, which enhances driving characteristics with paddle shifters located on the steering wheel for manual changing. Furthermore, the manufacturer opted to use Pirelli all-season tires on the 20-by-10-inch Satin Carbon wheels rather than summer-only ones because autumn is rapidly approaching.
In addition, there are seven Drive modes available for the Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead:
- Auto
- Snow
- Track
- Eco
- Sport
- Valet
- Tow
Accurate information on vehicle performance parameters, like g-force readings and timers, is provided by the Standard SRT Performance Pages. Additionally giving drivers more control over Shift Light and Launch Control features are Race Options and Configurable Drive Modes.
Aesthetics of the 2025 Durango Hammerhead Design
This car had every conceivable bell and whistle, proving that Dodge spared no luxury in its construction. For instance, the interior details are light black chrome and the trim is made of forged carbon fiber. Along with the standard Hammerhead Grey Laguna seats with Sepia SRT Hellcat insignias embroidered on the seatbacks, there are black-painted Brembo six-piston brake calipers. Buyers are further persuaded by the Hammerhead’s Satin Black-painted hood, silver accent stitching, and luxuriously wrapped instrument panel.
