The third hub operated by Breeze Airways is located in Fort Myers, according to the airline’s announcement.

“Breeze’s operations from Fort Myers have proven exceptionally popular,” said Breeze Airways president, Tom Doxey, in a statement. “It’s been one of our fastest growing airports, now reaching 19 destinations in less than two years, thanks in large part to our close partnership with the team at Southwest Florida International.”

David Neeleman, the creator of JetBlue, founded the airline, which links smaller airports to well-known locations across the nation. Breeze will be able to grow by adding more flights to service the remaining parts of the Sunshine State by building a base at Fort Myers in addition to Orlando and Tampa.

Thanks to a few seasonal routes that open in time for snowbird season, travelers will soon be able to reach Fort Myers. Breeze will begin twice-weekly service from Manchester, New Hampshire; Newburgh, New York; Lansing, Michigan; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Bangor, Maine, in October. The airline serves Southwest Florida International Airport with more than a dozen year-round flights:

The announcement coincides with Breeze’s announcement that March was its first profitable month ever, with “increased unit revenues by more than 30 percent year-over-year.” Breeze will celebrate three years of operation in May. To celebrate, the airline will switch to an all-Airbus A220 fleet before the end of the year. Additionally, it will introduce a credit card for its most devoted passengers.

Breeze offers direct booking options for its flights via its website, mobile app, and its inaugural online travel partner, Priceline.com. Depending on whether a customer has to check a bag or bring a carry-on, they can choose from three different fee bundles: “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest.” They can also select seats with more legroom.
