‘Avatar’ producer Jon Landau is listing his Key Largo home for just under $14 million.

Legendary producer, Jon Landau, whose list of iconic films includes “Titanic,” “Avatar,” “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” and “Dick Tracy,” to name a few, is selling his sprawling Florida compound.
The 6,050-square-foot house was built in 2001 and is located at 89301 Old State Rd. in Islamorada’s Plantation Key.
Similar to the fictional Avatar planet of “Pandora,” the property is as exotic as it gets. The Balinese-influenced estate is named “Bali Hali,” a reference to James Michener’s book “Tales of the South Pacific,” and comes with a total of six bedrooms and six bathrooms. It also features a 1,000 bottle wine cellar, Brazilian mahogany carved doors, a deepwater dock, a tennis court, an infinity-edge pool, and a fire pit surrounded by a hot tub.
One of the more impressive features is the 7,000-gallon saltwater fish pond that comes with riverbed stones imported from Bali and East Timor.
The main home is accented by gorgeous woodwork, including custom carved doors with intricate detailing in every room. Entertaining is a dream with this gourmet kitchen, complete with an eat-at-bar counter. One can also dine in the adjacent dining area with an ocean view or out on the waterfront porch.
Right after Avatar’s success, Landau and his wife Julie purchased the home for $5.8 million in 2010. According to the Wall Street Journal, Landau is now spending most of his time living in New Zealand filming the upcoming “Avatar” sequels. He is now putting the pad on the market for $13.999 million.
If the home does sell at this price, it would be a new record for the Florida Keys, since the current highest-selling property in the area peaked at 13.125 million.
