3 Doors Down, with Seether
Formed by lead singer Brad Arnold in 1996, 3 Doors Down secured its first hit in 2000 with “Kryptonite.”
The beloved Mississippi-based rock band went on to record several other songs, including “Away From The Sun,” “Here Without You,” and “When I’m Gone,” the video of which shows the band performing on the USS George Washington aircraft carrier almost two decades ago.
The band’s “The Better Life” tour rolls into Florida in October with three different concerts: Oct. 14 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, with tickets from $38; the Oct. 15 show at Hard Rock Live Orlando is already sold out, and Oct. 16 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach with tickets from $35.
Seether, the South African-based rock band, will also be performing at all three events. Their hits include “Fine Again,” “Fake It,” “Rise Above This,” and “Words As Weapons.”
Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com, livenation.com, 3doorsdown.com, and other sites.
The tour also marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album, The Better Life, which will be played along with their other hits.
In addition to Arnold, the band’s current lineup consists of lead and rhythm guitarist Chris Henderson who has been with the band since 1998, drummer Greg Upchurch, backing vocalist and guitarist Chet Roberts, and bassist Justin Biltonen.
While 3 Doors Down has stayed extremely popular among Generation X (post-baby boomers) and some Millennials or Generation Y’s, Arnold said the band attracts all ages.
“You’ll see kids standing next to a 60-year-old couple,” Arnold said. “You’ll see them singing right along with each other. That means the world to me.”
