Unexpected Limitations Are Introduced Universal for Epic Universe: Every Visitor Must Stay for at Least Three Days

The Epic Universe is rapidly approaching, but getting there might be more difficult than we anticipated.

The nearby resort Walt Disney World faces serious competition from Universal Orlando Resort, even in the absence of its planned third new park. There is enough to do for visitors of all ages at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, two theme parks, Volcano Bay water park, and Universal Orlando CityWalk shopping and dining complex.

It seems that Universal has accelerated its expansions in recent years. In addition to DreamWorks Land in 2024 and Minion Land in 2023, the globe saw the launch of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure two years earlier, and in 2021 Jurassic globe VelociCoaster, a coaster that consistently places in the top 10.

Naturally, we’re still unsure of the precise day when we’ll be able to visit these places. Although Universal hasn’t said much about when its third park will open, it’s reasonable to expect that we’ll hear an official announcement—or at the very least, a more precise timeline—once it’s completed previewing each of its five lands, which it has been doing gradually over the past few months.

We do know that it won’t be as simple as you may have thought to obtain a ticket.

At first, Epic Universe would not allow one-day tickets, although this is not usually the case for theme parks. Visitors must purchase a multi-day Universal Orlando ticket package for a minimum of three days, according to information given by Universal with third-party ticket-selling partners (via Attractions Magazine).

You won’t be able to spend every one of those days at Epic Universe, though. Rather, visitors will only have time to spend one day at the new theme park at Universal Orlando Resort. Additionally, they will not be permitted to park-hop from Epic Universe to another Universal park.

Regarding visitors from abroad, Universal is getting ready to launch a new Explorer ticket that will let guests to enter Universal Orlando Resort for 14 days, with one day dedicated to Epic Universe.

This plan is not final unless Universal validates it for themselves. But, it appears likely that the resort will impose limitations on its new park, at least initially, in order to help manage the undoubtedly enormous demand.
