Right here in the Sunshine State, the biggest artificial lagoon in the nation is now operational.
The Mirada Lagoon in San Antonio, Florida, offers travelers 15 acres of crystal-clear water, a swim-up bar, and a water slide for a relaxing retreat, according to WTSP-TV in Tampa. An obstacle course is also included.
You are also more than welcome to relax if you don’t wish to swim.
The price of a ticket runs from $20 to $40.
Additionally, more artificial lagoons are on the way. A majority vote by the Melbourne City Council last year approved the sale of 56 acres of land to the Melbourne Orlando International Airport for the proposed Lakoona Beach development project, which would include the construction of hundreds of homes, retail spaces, and its focal point Crystal Lagoons.
Adelon Capital, the development business, stated that it also intends to build five inland lagoons in Central Florida.
Land clearing for the first Crystal Lagoon, which is located about eight miles west of Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, started in 2021.
