Planning a trip to Florida soon?

Bringing the family along, too?

Take them all (and yourself) to Disney World!

The world’s most visited theme park sits on a nearly 40-square mile section of land in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, not far from the cities of Orlando and Kissimmee. It offers four theme parks to take the kiddies: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It also has two water parks (Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon), 34 resort hotels, 81 holes of golf on five courses, two full-service spas and an entertainment venue that includes restaurants, retail shopping and other fun things to do and see.

Magic Kingdom was the first to open in the complex in 1971, followed by Epcot in 1982, then Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 1989 and finally Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 1998.

The center of Magic Kingdom is Cinderella’s Castle. It is Cinderella’s fairy tale castle and is near the Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland at the Tokyo Disney Resort. It is one of the most visited and popular attractions at Disney World.

Epcot opened on October 1, 1982, and stands for “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow”. The park is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, technological innovation and international culture. Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere, is an iconic representation of EPCOT.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened on May 1, 1989, and is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences and Products division. The park’s theme takes inspiration from the Golden Age of Hollywood, displaying imagined worlds from film, television, music and theatre. The visual representation and centerpiece is The Chinese Theatre, a recreation of the famous Hollywood landmark, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on April 22, 1998, and is zoological-themed. It is the largest theme park in the world (580 acres, or 230 ha). The park features exhibits of hundreds of species of live animals as well as traditional attractions. This distinguishes it from the other Disney World theme parks.

The complex was developed by Walt Disney in the 1960s. It was designed to supplement Disneyland in Anaheim, California, which had previously opened in 1955. It was then known as “The Florida Project.”

Disney World is the most visited destination in the country. The entertainment ecosystem gets on average 75 million visitors a year. The destination and its location near Orlando, FL is the most popular flight from Philadelphia International Airport. As many as 1.5 million nonstop passengers travel to Orlando annually, according to a spokesperson.

For many people, it really is the happiest place on Earth.

The price of such a trip, however, can make even a repeat visitor wary. A park guest may spend as much as $5,000 on a trip to Disney. The price of a one-day pass to one theme park can cost as much as $100. A four-day package costs $335.

But looking at the bright side, the spending will ensure access to many enjoyable rides and provides equally entertaining lodging accommodations for yourself and/or your loved ones. It’s an investment into making memories that will last a lifetime. It is recommended to try to visit this wonderful theme park at least once in one’s lifetime.
