One of the most awaited events in Miami-Dade County is the arrival of the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. To many Miami residents, it signals the arrival of Spring and the month of March. It is referred to in Miami as simply, “The Fair.” For 21 days, this event is attended by thousands upon thousands of people with their families and loved ones. Parents, kids and babies come from all over to enjoy the 100 thrilling rides, delicious carnival food and to feed the many farm animals.

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that began entertaining families in 1952. Throughout its history, The Fair has helped to contribute more than $11 million to the South Florida community. According to their website, The Fair in 2018 helped adults and children with academic scholarships totaling $530,000, cash premiums, plaques and awards. 

The Youth Fair itself is the largest fair in Florida. Over 550,000 guests attended The Fair in 2019. It is an annual event that features livestock, agricultural competitions, plant and flower exhibitions and stellar shows the whole family can enjoy.
