New Year’s Eve at Brevard Zoo

Sunday, December 31st from 10 a.m. to noon is the perfect time for the whole family to ring in the new year without staying up past anyone’s bedtime at Brevard Zoo, 8225 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne. “Noon Year’s Eve” includes a toast with sparkling juice and a ball drop at noon. In addition, there will be games, crafts, music and more. New Year’s Eve Gala in Melbourne

On Sunday, December 31, the Hilton Melbourne, 200 Rialto Place, Melbourne, will host a New Year’s Eve Gala featuring the Rock & Roll Revue of the Melbourne Municipal Band. The event begins with a social hour with Klaus Kolb on the piano at 7:30 p.m. and ends with a classy supper and floor show at 8:30 p.m. At nine-thirty, there will be a champagne toast, and at midnight, the dancing will begin. New Year’s Eve Party in Cocoa

Brevard Music Group presents “the Space Coast’s best New Year’s Eve party,” at the Space Coast Convention Center, 301 Tucker Lane, Cocoa. Guests can celebrate with a champagne toast, a four-course dinner, an open bar, a dance party featuring music spanning five decades, party favors and more as they ring in the new year. ‘Snow White’ Ballet at the King Center

The State Ballet Theater of Ukraine performs a dance version of Snow White’s story at the King Center, 3865 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne. It narrates a tale of friendship, love, witchcraft, and the never-ending conflict between good and evil. On Saturday, December 30, it will have two performances at the King Center at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. The starting price for tickets is $30. Call 321-242-2219 or visit kingcenter.com. 

Walking history tour of Old Melbourne Beach

On January 1 at 10 a.m., take a free walking history tour of Old Melbourne Beach with local authors and historians Frank Thomas and Rick Maule. The Melbourne Beach Pier, 507 Ocean Avenue, is where the group will gather. After the walk, there will be complimentary refreshments at the Melbourne Beach Community Center.
