On the evening of the third Republican presidential primary debate next month, former president Trump will hold a rally in Florida, his campaign announced on Friday.

On November 8, the former president will host a rally with supporters in Hialeah, some 15 miles away, as several of Trump’s well-known opponents debate in Miami.

Trump will attempt to counterprogram the GOP primary debates for the third time in a row at the rally. During the first debate in August, Trump participated in an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson; during the second debate in September, he addressed workers in Michigan.

His campaign has requested that the Republican National Committee (RNC) postpone all upcoming debates and instead unite behind him in the run-up to the general election. He had already said he would skip the third GOP primary debate.

State and national polls of the GOP primary field show that Trump is comfortably in the lead, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley vying for second place.

In a poll conducted by Emerson College and released on Friday, Trump received 59 percent of the vote, while DeSantis and Haley tied for second place with 8 percent.

Only Haley, DeSantis, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy have earned spots in the upcoming third debate, which NBC News will moderate. To be eligible, candidates must gather donations from 70,000 people and reach specific polling requirements.

Despite the fact that Trump has been indicted on numerous criminal counts this year in Washington, D.C., Georgia, New York, and Florida, a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll released this week showed Trump topping President Biden among voters in seven crucial states.
