It’s no secret that Florida has grown in popularity as a travel destination for people all across the country in recent years. However, what about people who are relocating within Florida?
That’s what moveBuddha looked at in its most recent study, which was made public on Monday.
Orlando, the City Beautiful in Central Florida, is the top choice for Floridians moving within the state, according to that survey.
The Miami-to-Orlando route was also the most often used move route in Florida, according to the report.
According to the report, “Orlando boasts a new high-speed rail connection between the two cities and a lower cost of living (home costs are a whopping 42 percent lower than in Miami).” “This means that Orlando is a compelling alternative to South Florida’s density and price tag for everyone, from families looking to expand their living spaces to remote workers looking to save money.”
That’s not all, though. Additionally, researchers shared the following important information gleaned from their data:
Largest Net Gain: When compared to those departing, Kissimmee, Ocala, and The Villages attracted the greatest number of new moves. Even though they might not get as many visitors as locations like Orlando, these cities will nonetheless be impacted by the faster development rates.
Least Popular City: According to the survey, Hialeah is the least popular location for inter-Florida moves, even though Orlando may be the most popular choice for movers.
Relocating Here: It turns out that New Hampshire is the state that sends the largest percentage of its population per capita to Florida.
Moving Out of Florida: In the meantime, North Carolina is the state that Floridians are considering the most when deciding to leave the state.
Central Outperforms South: In the Sunshine State, Central Florida communities are typically the most sought-after relocation destinations, with South Florida areas trailing behind.
Although a large number of people moved to Florida as a result of the outbreak, analysts indicated that recent patterns show a significant slowdown.
The paper goes on to say, “The Florida of 2025 is seeing local surges and state-wide tradeoffs instead of massive migration.” “The individuals who are departing? They are somewhat pickier. Who’s coming? They are more deliberate. The state is moving and leveling out, but it isn’t emptying out overall.
