“Last Call” for Dodge Chargers and Challengers: Sales are Booming

For the 2023 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger “Last Call” trims, Dodge is officially letting enthusiasts know how to place an order. Orders for what is anticipated to be collector’s cars have been finally opened by Dodge. The last gas-powered muscle cars to be produced at the Canadian Brampton, Ontario, facility will be the 2023 Challengers and Chargers. At the conclusion of the 2023 manufacturing cycle, the factory will close for retooling. For the 2024 model year, Dodge intends to produce an electrified muscle vehicle. In reality, in August 2022, a concept for the electric car known as the Charger Daytona SRT was unveiled. Automotive News, a trade journal, reports that “The Charger has had sales gains for the past four quarters, while the Challenger just posted its third consecutive positive quarter.”

The best way to order “Special Edition” cars

The “special edition” trims are not available for custom order through Dodge. They must instead rely on the Horsepower Locator tool provided by the company. You can access the locator website at DodgeGarage.com. It will make it easier for prospective buyers to find out which dealers offer the various “Last Call” trims so they may order the precise vehicle they desire. The Dodge Horsepower Locator, which allows enthusiasts to check every 2023 Charger and Challenger trim still available for ordering by each dealer, is noteworthy since it records dealership allocations rather than dealership inventory.

“Last Call” Special Editions

The other special editions replicate the horsepower found in the throwback trims after engines were destroyed trying to crank up the horsepower for the Challenger SRT Demon 170. Each of them was produced in a small quantity by the automaker. These are a few of them:

  • Challenger Shakedown
  • Charger Super Bee
  • Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger
  • Charger King Daytona
  • Challenger Black Ghost
  • Challenger SRT Demon 170

Instead of accepting reservations from customers, the manufacturer has chosen to distribute the vehicles to its dealers. Dodge does make an effort to ensure fairness throughout the process and avert potential bidding wars. In fact, the business is so determined to ensure that dreamers won’t be priced out of the market by collectors that it has implemented a brilliant strategy: customers who pay the sticker price get to skip the line. Tim Kuniskis, the CEO of Dodge, stated: “If you paid over sticker, you’re going to get pushed to the end of the line, and we may not build that car.”

The Process Used to Choose Dodge Dealerships

The way the firm describes it is as follows: Dodge special edition “Last Call” trims are given to the 500 dealerships with the highest volume of Charger and Challenger sales. Dealers in the top 200 in terms of sales are eligible for 12 special edition trims, followed by dealers in the 201st to 300th range with 10 special edition trims, and dealers in the 301st to 500th range with six special edition trims. Every 2023 Dodge “Last Call” special edition trim comes pre-configured. Orders for special edition “Last Call” cars must be made by getting in touch with dealers who have the requested special edition car in stock. Customers will still be able to view Dodge Charger and Challenger vehicles through the Search New Inventory option on Dodge.com for vehicles that are currently on dealer lots or being delivered to dealers.

Dodge claims that during the initial months of car order, the Horsepower Locator was updated every day, Monday through Friday, giving buyers access to the most recent list of vehicles still up for order at dealerships in almost real-time. The Horsepower Locator is updated to reflect the equivalent decrease in vehicle allotment as dealers complete 2023 vehicle orders. As a result, aficionados can keep track of how many of each trim is still available for purchase.

Now that Dodge is going into the electric vehicle business, the day to purchase a Charger or Challenger is today.
