The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is revolutionary for the large SUV sector. For the first time ever, the Grand Cherokee comes with a third-row, stretching the seating capacity to up to seven passengers. Released in the summer, Jeep Grand Cherokee L models became available and are already gaining recognition. Earlier in the month, we gained word that the Jeep Grand Cherokee L and Chrysler Pacifica were named by WardsAuto for Best User Experience. Now, the three-row SUV is earning Jeep another award, named “Best SUV Lineup” during the 2021 Newsweek Autos Awards.
Continuing the original Grand Cherokee’s legacy, the brand new Grand Cherokee L offers plenty of space for second and third-row passengers, crafted with premium materials and fit with state-of-the-art technology, such as a 10-inch digital screen, windshield head-up display, rear-seat monitoring camera, and an available premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. Safety was also in mind, with more than 110 advanced safety and security features, including advanced driver-assist systems, 360-degree surround view, and night vision cameras.
“The Jeep Grand Cherokee L does more than expand the Grand Cherokee family…It elevates the three-row SUV experience, making it possible to transport family members in comfort and style thanks to an outstanding list of standard and available features paired with classic Jeep 4×4 capability,” said Eileen Falkenberg-Hull, senior editor of autos for Newsweek.
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earned the title of Best Family SUV, and following right behind is the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. After a long wait, these highly anticipated models are bringing Jeep into the high-tier luxury brand category. Premium-laden interiors with handcrafted Satin American Walnut wood trims, Palermo leather-trimmed seating with quilting and a leather-wrapped instrument panel, consoles, and door panels with accent stitching give all the feelings of luxury. Able to seat eight passengers, the Wagoneer series comes with all the space and comfort a consumer could ask for. It offers best-in-class overall passenger volume, total volume, third-row headroom, and second-and third-row legroom. The Wagoneer was named Newsweek’s Best Full-Size SUV while the Grand Wagoneer won the title of Newsweek’s Best Luxury SUV.
Not only is it a spacious SUV, but the Grand Wagoneer offers next-generation technology, equipped with a rear-seat monitoring camera, windshield head-up display, frameless digital cluster, premium McIntosh audio system, 10.25 front passenger interactive display, and Fire TV for Auto. The Wagoneer has its own perks, able to deliver a best-in-class towing capability of up to 10,000 lbs.
An added plus for all three vehicles is the award-winning Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Optimized for five-times-faster operating speeds, new content, and improved customization, vehicles with Uconnect 5 can enjoy connected services, like wireless Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto (standard). All three models offer this technology, increasing entertainment capabilities within the SUV’s cabin.
