The 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat represents the last installment of a legendary era. It combines classic looks and exudes great power, making it a truly modern muscle vehicle. The Challenger is scheduled to give way soon to an electric model of the same name. For now, though, savor the charms of the Hellcat—an outstanding and fun American muscle vehicle. The 20-inch alloy wheels and noticeable hood scoops that direct air to the supercharged engine set the Challenger Hellcat apart, drawing attention to its impressive appearance. The wider fenders and tires on the Hellcat Widebody models add to the vehicle’s menacing appearance.

A supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque is the heart of the regular Challenger Hellcat. This power is increased to 797 horsepower by the Hellcat Redeye and to an amazing 807 horsepower by the Hellcat Super Stock. A 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 8-speed automatic transmission transfers power from the Hellcat engine to the back wheels. The only available transmission option in the Redeye and Super Stock setups is the automatic. The Hellcat Super Stock is renowned for its ability to accelerate quickly in straight lines. It takes just 3.25 seconds to reach 60 mph and completes a quarter-mile run in 10.5 seconds. It has a maximum speed of 168 mph. The Redeye tops out at 203 mph, a speed that the normal Hellcat can only reach of 199 mph.

With three different suspension settings—Auto, Sport, and Track—the driver may choose between the Hellcat’s SRT-tuned Bilstein adaptive dampers. Drivers can adjust shift mapping, traction control, throttle response, and steering feel among other settings via the SRT Performance Pages. Performance exhaust, Brembo brakes, and a heavy-duty rear differential are all included with the Hellcat.

The Challenger Hellcat’s interior offers roomy two-row seats. Adults can have plenty of legroom in the back seats, although their views may be restricted by the large rear roof pillars. The Challenger Hellcat leads the field in trunk space for a sports car, with a roomy 16.2 cubic feet. The six-speaker Alpine audio system, the six-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, and the houndstooth fabric upholstery are all standard. An optional 18-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system is also offered for individuals who want better music quality.

An 8.4-inch touch-screen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is standard on the Hellcat. A dock of icons at the bottom of the screen highlights its intuitive design, which is enhanced for further convenience by tactile buttons and knobs. Complete Bluetooth connectivity, several USB ports, satellite radio, and user-friendly voice command capabilities are all features of the infotainment system.
